Hearth and Rampart

Política de privacidad

Última actualización:

Responsable y contacto

Privacy policy

Last updated:

Who we are

LSM Games Studio is the developer of Hearth and Rampart, a strategy game where you found a medieval village, organize your villagers' work and defend it from sieges. This policy explains what information the current version of the game handles, why, and who it is shared with. For any privacy question, write to lsmgamesstudio@gmail.com.

In short

  • You don't need an account, and we don't ask for your name, email or any other personal data.
  • Your game and settings are stored only on your device.
  • The game shows no ads and includes no analytics services. There is a single optional purchase, the full game, handled by Google Play.
  • It is played offline. It only connects for the purchase: with Google Play and with Unity's purchasing library.

Data stored on your device

The game stores the village in progress (the terrain, the buildings, the villagers and how the campaign is going), the legacy kept between games (recovered coins, crowns and blueprints) and your settings, such as language, on your device, so you can carry on where you left off and keep your preferences. This information is not sent to LSM Games Studio.

If Android backup is turned on, your device may keep a copy of that data in your Google account and restore it when you reinstall the game or switch phones. That copy is handled by Android and Google under their own policy; we have no access to it.

What the game does not do

The current version of Hearth and Rampart shows no advertising and includes no analytics, advertising or automatic crash reporting services. It has no online mode or leaderboards either: you play against the computer, on your device, and your games are not sent to any server of ours or of a third party.

It is built with the Unity engine. If ads or any other feature that handles data are added in the future, we will update this policy and show the new date before publishing it.

The full game purchase

The game can be played for free up to the wave 5 boss, without saving. There is a single optional purchase, "full game", that unlocks the rest (saving your village, every campaign and the other modes), and it is paid through Google Play: the payment is handled by Google with your account and under their own privacy policy. LSM Games Studio does not see or store your payment details (no card, address or email); we only receive from Google whether the purchase has been made, in order to unlock the content, and the aggregated sales reports Google gives developers.

To find out whether you already own it, the game asks Google Play for your account's purchases and stores the result on your device, so the content stays unlocked offline and you can restore it when you reinstall the game or switch phones.

The connection with Google Play is made by Unity In-App Purchasing, Unity's purchasing library. When it starts, that library and the Unity services it relies on may send Unity Technologies technical data, such as the device model, the system version, an installation identifier and the result of purchase operations, so that it works and to diagnose errors. Unity handles that data under its own privacy policy; it does not include your name, email or payment details.

Permissions

The game does not ask for access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone or files.

Downloading from Google Play

The game is downloaded from Google Play, which handles the data of the download and of your account under its own privacy policy. LSM Games Studio only sees the aggregated statistics Google gives developers, such as the number of installs per country, with no data that identifies you.

Retention and deletion

Your game and settings stay on your device until you clear the app's data or uninstall it. You can clear them in Android settings, under the app's storage section; this deletes your saved game.

Children

Hearth and Rampart is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.

Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to lsmgamesstudio@gmail.com. Because the game does not send us personal data, we will normally only hold what you provide in that email. You can also lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country; in Spain, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos.

Email

If you contact us by email, we will use your address and the information you provide to answer your request. We keep these messages for as long as needed to handle it and to meet applicable legal obligations. You can ask us to delete them by writing to the same address.

Changes to this policy

If the game's features or the way data is handled change, we will update this policy and show the new update date.
